An Introduction to Movement Imbalance Syndromes
Movement Imbalance Syndromes (MIS's) are the most common correctable and often overlooked causes of musculoskeletal pain. This course explains MIS's and how they can be major contributors to neck pain, low back pain, rotator cuff tendonitis, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, trochanteric bursitis, patella maltracking, and plantar fasciitis. We'll discuss diagnosis, treatment and, finally, how one MIS can precipitate others... as a "domino effect."

FACTS2: A Systematic Approach to Shoulder Pain
The shoulder is second only to LBP as a musculoskeletal cause of disability and loss of work. This course describes the 6 most common causes of shoulder pain, most of which can be effectively treated by the primary care clinician. It also demonstrates a rapid 3-minute office screen to identify these conditions.

Four Thought on the Knee: A Systematic Approach to Knee Pain
Utilizing a simple memory aid, and a rapid systematic office-examination technique, this course greatly enhances the clinician's ability to identify and manage the most common causes of knee pain. The "Four-thought" memory aid states: "Every knee consists of one synovium, two menisci, three compartments and four ligaments for a total of 10 common sources of knee pain; all of which should be carefully examined for." The "four-thought" examination provides a rapid yet comprehensive diagnostic tool.

Successful RTW Planning: Principles and Pitfalls
The importance of avoiding occupational disconnect and promoting early return to work (RTW) should be universally understood. This course utilizes the memory aid "SUCCESSFUL" to describe how to effectively achieve this goal. Although this course focuses on Workers' Compensation injuries, most of the principles also apply to insurance claims and other 3rd party issues.
